In contrast to the Pluto trigger I am not very happy with the RF receiver. I am currently working at an animal photography project and frequently use camera traps to get a good shot of some very shy animals. The Pluto trigger is joy to work with. It works fine and reliably. However the RF sender/receiver caused several hour long delays in setting up simple traps. The root cause is not yet clear to me. It could be the flash cable contacts (the cable leading from the Pluto to the sender) or that the receiver uses up its batteries much to quickly. My solution at the moment is to change the batteries and fiddle around with the cable until it works. This is no fun and has wasted costly time on site. When you are in a remote location unreliable equipment can be a killer of the whole project. Once I am back home I will look for an more reliable sender/receiver solution and stop using the RF receiver for production work. One more remark is: In animal photography constantly blinking LEDs at any device are a pain and energy waste anyway! A blink when a signal is received is perfectly enough. Sorry, but my verdict at the moment is poor. Best regards Ralf
